JR ACADEMY

Skate Yorkton’s Junior Academy is a group program that teaches introductory figure skating skills to young skaters who show potential to excel in competitive figure skating. 

Entrance to our Junior Academy program is by invitation only and skaters must register for 2 sessions per week.  Skaters will be talent identified and selected from our CanSkate sessions.

Skaters must wear figure skates and helmets are required until the skater has official passed Stage 3 of the CanSkate program. Any questions regarding proper equipment, class requirements, or inquiries can be emailed to skateyorkton@sasktel.net

Fundraising Information

Participation in fundraising events is tracked and progress reports will be made available to each family as the deadlines approach.

If you choose not to fundraise, the Buy-Out fee is $175.00 & 1 lottery book for Junior Academy. For families with 3 or more children the 3rd child will only be asked to sell 1 Lottery Ticket Book. 

ALL REGISTERED SKATERS ARE ASKED TO SELL1 Skate Yorkton Lottery Book. $100 cash or cheque to be returned October 14th or 17th when you hand in your sold book.

Ticket books due back October 14th & October 17th, 2024.

Fundraising Opportunities will include (but not limited to) Total Sale of Products - $250.00 Jr Academy

Ice Schedule Changes or Cancellations

As you may know, at certain times during the year, the Gallagher Cener Ice is utilized for various functions. At times, your sessions may be cancelled completely, while at other times, we will re-scheule the session as ice becomes available. Although we do our best to minimize any disruptions to our Programs, there will be occasions during the year when the times and days change. When at all possible, revised schedules will be posted on the Skate Yorkton FaceBook page and also emailed out to each member.

Refund Policy:

Should Skate Yorkton be shutdown due to any Covid interruptions registration fees will be adjustd based on unused scheduled weeks*

Registration is for ice time booked Sept 2024-March 20245

No other refunds will be granted.

NSF Fee: A fee $40.00 will be charged on any NSF cheques to the Club

**Always remember to write your skaters names on your cheques or in the comments of your E-transfer**
